Vielschichtige Perspektiven & Erfahrungen Neben Inputs zu zentralen Themen rund um partizipative Projektarbeit lebt der CAS von den vielschichtigen Perspektiven und Erfahrungen der Teilnehmenden. Diese kommen aus ganz unterschiedlichen Bereichen: zum Beispiel aus der Forschung, Museen, Bibliotheken, Archiven, NGOs, der Verwaltung oder dem Gesundheitsbereich. So vielfältig diese Zielgruppe auf den ersten Blick sein mag, sie eint das Interesse an der Umsetzung partizipativer Projekte, an gemeinsamer Wissensproduktion und dem Einbezug der Bevölkerung. Genau in dieser Kombination aus Unterschieden und Gemeinsamkeiten der CAS-Teilnehmenden sehen wir eine grosse Chance für das Von- und Miteinander-Lernen und für die Vernetzung mit Gleichgesinnten, die sich in ganz anderen institutionellen Umgebungen bewegen und zu den verschiedensten Themen arbeiten.

Τhe first global Citizen Science for Health conference will take place on Sunday 29 October – Wednesday 1 November 2023 at DesignLab, University of Twente, the Netherlands. The conference will be organized in close cooperation with University of Twente's TechMed Centre, as part of the MedTech Twente Week 2023. The event is initiated by the Working group Citizen Science for Health of the European Citizen Science Association ECSA. The conference takes place over four days and the scope aims to mark the start of a more concerted approach towards the development of Citizen Science in the domain of Health. The conference aims to touch both minds and hearts, and to inspire collaborations beyond paradigms. Therefore, a format is chosen that goes beyond a more traditional conference set-up. Besides scientific symposia, the conference will include a diversity of interactive formats such as: dialogues, round tables, co-creation sessions, networking, poster sessions, field visits, walking meetings and art. The conference is open to a broad global public (including academics, students, policy makers, citizens, societal organizations and companies), but also to a local audience interested in Citizen Science for Health.

This 150-minute engagement taking place on July 27, 2023, from 12:00 - 14:30 CEST, is your gateway to understanding the next generation of citizen science.This event is uniquely split into two main sections, offering flexibility to attend one part, or both, based on your interests and needs.The first part (12:00 - 13:15 CEST) is a comprehensive exploration of the ECS Co-Design Process. With an accessible and interactive format, we will delve into the details of the updated eu-citizen.science platform. Opening with a brief presentation on the overarching ECS project, we will then focus on the Co-Design Process' first cycle results, which birthed three novel services: the Project Visualisation Map, the Improved Event Section, and the Enhanced Search Engine. Each service will be presented in detail, offering a practical understanding of their functions. We invite all attendees to contribute to an engaging discussion period where we will entertain queries, comments, and thoughts on these services, as well as our next steps. À l’École de la médiation, nous pensons que les sciences et recherches participatives ont le potentiel de valoriser l’expertise des professionnels de la médiation et de leur permettre de développer leurs compétences spécialisées liées à la facilitation et aux lieux de co-production de connaissances (living lab, fablab, boutiques des sciences etc.) Par ailleurs, organismes de recherche et lieux de cultures scientifiques ont beaucoup à tirer d’une meilleure compréhension et collaboration autour des SRP : les CCSTI pour faire évoluer leur offre, la recherche pour bénéficier de l’expertise des professionnel.les de la culture scientifique sur les relations sciences et société. Cette journée d’étude “ médiation scientifique et recherches participatives” invite les professionnels de la recherche, de la médiation, et les porteurs de projets culturels et associatifs à dégager ensemble des axes de réflexion pour mieux concevoir et envisager la médiation scientifique dans les recherches participatives, et sa complémentarité avec les intermédiations. L’objectif de cette journée est d’initier la création de groupes de travail en vue de rédiger un “livre blanc” sur le rôle de la médiation scientifique dans les nouveaux modes de production collective de la connaissance.

In 2023, the conference can celebrate its 10th anniversary. The conference is hosted by the Leibniz Strategy Forum Open Science and organized under the lead of the ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics. The conference offers insights into both practical and technical innovations that serve the implementation of open practices as well as current and pioneering developments in the global Open Science movement. Such developments are, for example, the increasing plea for open practices as lessons learned from global crises as well as recent discussions on the relation of Open Science, civic science education, and knowledge equity. Furthermore, the conference offers many opportunities for networking and exchange.
