Dobra pot Institute
The Dobra pot Institute is an institute for culture and sustainable development based in Brkini, which was founded with the desire to protect natural and cultural heritage in a fresh and innovative way. Since 2015, the institute has been organizing educational programs, workshops, and training courses for the general public and developing programs for rural youth. Through its activities, it strives to address current social challenges in rural areas and respond to the perceived needs of the Karst-Brkini region and the wider Slovenian area. It sees heritage as having exceptional potential for a sustainable and environmentally friendly path to the future, which is why it also focuses intensively on projects for the actualisation, popularisation and, in modern times, the necessary digitisation of cultural heritage. Based on its achievements to date, the institute's team has repeatedly found that heritage is an excellent tool for connecting and empowering communities.
