Household Hazardous Waste Characterization and Recycling Behavior

The Da WeZard project (Da: Data | We: Citizen, collaborative | Zard: Hazardous waste) is a Citizen Science project that aims to characterise and quantify hazardous household waste in Portugal. The project, which will start in the Municipality of Leiria with the active participation of Scouts from the Leiria-Fátima Region and local communities.

The dataset has 158 inquiries, registered by Scout living at Leiria region, Portugal. The information concerning characterization protocol and questions are in other files at Zenodo, of DaWeZard project.

The dataset is referent to characterizatin occurred in October.Novembner 2025 and has the amount of HHW generated by 8 types, their destination and destination of the container, as well the recycling behavior of those wastes.
