This training resource provides a structured introduction to Citizen Science, with a specific focus on inclusive, participatory, and community-led research practices. Developed within the MIXUFAB project, the material is designed to support Citizen Scientists, community members, and practitioners in understanding the foundations of Citizen Science, ethical and legal considerations, data collection methods, data analysis, and impact assessment. The training combines theoretical explanations with practical guidance, covering key topics such as defining research questions, engaging diverse participants, collecting qualitative and quantitative data, ensuring informed consent and data protection, and interpreting results responsibly. Particular attention is given to equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as to participatory approaches aligned with Extreme Citizen Science. The resource is suitable for workshops, training sessions, and self-learning, and aims to empower participants to actively contribute to all stages of Citizen Science projects while promoting ethical, transparent, and socially impactful research practices.
